Dress Code & Etiquette
SUITABLE ATTIRE | Members and guests must wear suitable attire when on Club property. Denim clothing of any color is not permitted on Club property. It is the members’ responsibility to inform their guests of the Club policy regarding suitable attire. Clubhouse attire must be worn on the first floor of the Clubhouse after 5:00pm, except that golf attire may be worn in the Terrace Bar area. Golf attire may be worn on the first floor of the Clubhouse before 5:00pm and in other areas of the Clubhouse at any time. Hats and visors must be removed in the Clubhouse, with the exception of formal hats worn by women.
Golf Course Attire for Men - shall consist of proper golf shirt tucked in with collar and tailored slacks. Shorts are permissible on the golf course provided they are no shorter than four inches above the knee measured from the top of the knee. Denim of any color is not permitted. Caps may be worn with the brim facing forward.
Golf Course Attire for Women - shall consist of skirts, shorts, dresses or pants with shirts or sweaters. Dresses, skirts and shorts may not be shorter than 5 inches above the knee and measured from the top of the knee. Halters, tank tops, bare midriff garments, leggings, yoga pants and short shorts are not permissible. Sleeveless tops must have a collar, crew neck or high neck. Denim of any color is not permitted. Caps may be worn with the brim facing forward.
General - Shoes worn on practice greens and regular greens are limited to appropriate golf shoes (high-heeled shoes are not permitted on greens).
Clubhouse Attire - Clubhouse attire shall consist of a collared shirt or appropriate turtleneck sweater and tailored slacks. Jackets are not required for men, except for specified club events. For women, clubhouse attire is a dress, skirt or pant ensemble of equivalent formality to men’s clubhouse attire. Denim of any color is not permitted.
Swimming Pool Attire - Proper swimming attire is required at all times, including bathing suits, board shorts, or rash guards. Cotton clothing, cutoff jeans, thongs, Brazilian/G-string bathing suits or similar are considered inappropriate attire and are not allowed. Cover-ups or shirts are required when leaving the pool or dining at riverside unless using a kayak or paddleboard on the river. Swimming attire, including cover-ups, may not be worn anywhere in the Clubhouse.
Tennis Attire for Men and Juniors - shall consist of a shirt with sleeves and collar or crew neck and tennis shorts. Tennis shoes are required; black soled running shoes are not permitted. Caps may be worn with the brim facing forward. Tennis attire is permitted in the Grille.
Tennis Attire for Women and Juniors - shall consist of a skirt or tennis dresses with straps and may be sleeveless or collarless. Skirts must be tennis skirts. Tennis shoes are required; black soled running shoes are not permitted. Caps may be worn with the brim facing forward. Tennis attire is permitted in the Grille.
